Self-catering accommodation in Porthgwidden, St Ives

St Ives is always such a popular tourist destination. So, if you’re thinking of visiting (and you definitely should visit), you might want to choose an area that's a little quieter than some of the other locales. If that’s the case, check out our wonderful Porthgwidden Beach accommodation. This sandy cove is the smallest and most sheltered of all our St Ives beaches and is likely to be the most peaceful too. It’s a quaint suntrap that’s nestled between the headland and the harbour and is great for bathing, snorkelling or just relaxing on the sand.

Our Porthgwidden cottages are among some of our favourite coastal cottages in St Ives, but if you fancy something a little different, you should search through our Downalong cottages. The holiday cottages found here are full of history and wonder as the local fishing industry, which centred around this area, led to the town growing in size. This produced a fascinating labyrinth of cobbled streets that wind around the harbour; it makes for a wonderful hour or two if you want a break from the beach. Book a stay at one of our Porthgwidden cottages in St Ives and have a Cornish holiday to remember.
