Monicas House is a delightful cottage in the heart of Downalong, a one minute walk from Porthmeor Beach and the Tate Gallery. It is in an ideal location for art lovers and surfers alike. Two minutes away are the local shops, restaurants and galleries. It also benefits from having a front courtyard.

Entrance up six steps into hallway which leads into a spacious open plan ground floor. Lounge area with sofas (one of which is a 4ft 6ins sofa bed), TV, DVD player, CD player with iPod dock and radio and contemporary wall mounted fire. Light and airy dining area and well equipped kitchen with washer drier, dishwasher, electric fan oven, gas hob, microwave and fridge. Upstairs: Bedroom with 5ft bed, TV and en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, wash basin, wc and heated towel rail. Bedroom with 4ft 6ins bed and 2 x 3ft bunk beds. Shower room with shower cubicle, wash basin, wc and heated towel rail.

Power and Heat: Electricity included in the rent. Central heating.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Travel cot, highchair and stair gate provided, please bring your own cot linen.
Beach: 0.1 ml. Pub: 0.1 ml.

PROPERTY NAME: Monica's House, 8 Porthmeor Square


PARKING: No allocated parking space. Nearest car parks are The Island and Barnoon.

ACCESS TO PROPERTY: Nearest drop off point is (Porthmeor Square) outside the property with steps to access the property.

PROPERTY ACCESS: There are 6 steps up from Porthmeor Square to the property entrance. There is a wall to either side of the steps but no handrail.


STAIRS/STEPS: The ground floor of the property is level throughout. Staircase from ground floor to first floor is angled with 12 steps and handrail to right. 13 fairly steep angled stairs to second floor.

FLOORING: The property is carpeted throughout excepting the Kitchen which has laminte flooring and Bathroom and Ensuite which have vinyl flooring. 

BEDROOMS: There is good access around the beds. The bunk beds have a fixed ladder.

DUVETS AND PILLOWS: Synthetic/Feather Down

BATHROOMS: There is a small step into the EnSuite shower room which has a shower cubicle (1 step to enter) with sliding doors. The main bathroom has a shower cubicle (1 step to enter) with sliding doors.

LIVING AREA: There are curtains in the front window and in the family bedroom. The Bathrooms, Kitchen/Dining Area and Double Bedroom have blinds with cord pulls.

GARDEN/EXTERNAL AREAS: There is a small courtyard with bench seating to the front of the property at the bottom of the steps accessed from Porthmeor Square.

CHILD EQUIPMENT: Travel Cot (no linen provided for travel cot), High Chair and Stairgate provided.

St Ives is one of Cornwall's top destinations and a beautiful seaside town where visitors can enjoy a traditional beach holiday with a twist.
