The kitchen is superbly equipped, including a wine fridge, a TV and a Nespresso coffee machine, with bar seating at the central island for three people to keep the cook company or enjoy a morning cuppa. Serve up your meals in the conservatory dining room, where you can slide open the patio doors for an indoor/outdoor feel, and afterwards head into the airy lounge to relax. Here you’ll find a piano, a wood burner and a Smart TV - for when you can tear your eyes away from the sea views to Godrevy Lighthouse out of the bay window. Upstairs, the elegant king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and there’s also a double bedroom and a twin (king-size on request), which share a family bathroom with a shower and a roll-top bath. All the bedrooms have TVs. Step outside the conservatory to enjoy the terraced garden, which boasts dining furniture and a BBQ, plus a swing seat on the upper level.
It’s just a half-mile walk down to the long, sandy beach at Carbis Bay, where swimming is safe in the calm waters and you can also try kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. There’s a beach restaurant and a spa, while if you want to stretch your legs it’s 1.5 miles along the scenic coast path to the shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants of vibrant St Ives.
