Rural seclusion and peacefulness are the order of the day when you stay at Rivington, a lovely single-storey, detached cottage near the seaside resort of Carbis Bay. The private retreat is ideal for couple and families who long to escape the hustle and bustle and get away to explore the beautiful Cornish coast and country.

 

Beautifully furnished and decorated, Rivington is an attractive home-from-home. Bright and airy living spaces adorned with colourful artwork make for fantastic places to relax after a day exploring, while the delightful wood burner is a wonderfully welcome addition for a winter holiday. Enjoy views of the surrounding grounds from each room, with the double bedroom's doors opening straight out onto the lovely garden area.

 

Nearby, there are several wonderful beaches, as is the custom in the south of the county. You'll be 1 mile from Carbis Bay, its beautiful beach and amenities, while the beaches of Porthcurno, Sennen and Praa Sands (all under 20 miles) are all within driving distance. If you're keen to make the most of your location, there are plenty of things to do and places to visit. This includes the lovely harbour town of St Ives, just down the road, whilst the beautiful village of Marazion, home of St Michael's Mount, is 7.5 miles away.

Beautifully appointed holiday cottage in a great position for visiting this part of Cornwall. Everything you could wish for here but not suitable approach for low slung cars after rain unless holes are filled! Good walk to Carbis Bay too and then on to St Ives from the house

A lovely place, hosts were very accommodating and we were able to get into the cottage early. So cosy, warm, and homely, close to places to visit but out of the way enough to completely chill. Will definitely go back and would highly recommend .

This was our second stay in Riverton its extremely homely and very comfortable. I arrived with a bad back but the bed rectified this. The cottage has everything you need for the perfect week away. As with all of Carbis Bay the rental prices are higher than some other areas however you get what you pay for. The cottage is at the end of a lane which Read moremakes it a quiet relaxed place to stay but beware of the pot holes in the lane. Hide

We were blessed with a week of sunshine, and took full advantage of Rivington's beautiful tranquil garden in the afternoon after days exploring west Cornwall. A beautiful cottage tucked away and a quiet little lane. We had a fantastic stay and the children and dog loved the secret garden - made extra special when the Easter Bunny left some little surprises around (lots of hiding places!). The cottage is well equipped and had everything we possibly needed and more. The location is great! Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Rivington. Outstanding cottage, location and super dog-friendly resort. Sadly, we weren't able to take our dog on this trip due to recent surgery. However, this gives us the perfect excuse to book a return trip - hopefully soon! First class!

This is a single story cottage with a cosy feeling a real home from home with the added bonus of a garden. It was ideal for us when traveling with a dog. The owner is extra attentive and was more than happy to assist during our stay. Nice relaxing and quiet location within driving distance of St Ives and Carbis Bay and other places of interest. Absolutely cracking both in terms of property and location, the perfect base for getting around Cornwall. Property is exceptionally nice (even if in need of a little TLC of places), well equipped, peaceful and the garden is a haven for bees. Couldnt be happier with the weeks rental and the owner cant do enough to ensure your stay is the best it canRead more be. This cottage was a comfortable and perfect base to explore Cornwall. It was clean, homely and comfortable. The enclosed garden was lovely and perfect for our dog. Lovely dog walks from the door including up to Knills monument where you could see both sides of the Cornish coast. Carbis bay beach is beautiful, the walk down then back up very steep buRead moret pretty. The cottage was supplied with everything you need and was down a quiet track yet within reach of main roads.
