Four guests can enjoy authentic Cornish charm at this beautifully restored fisherman’s cottage in the heart of St Ives. With flagstone floors, a wood burner, exposed stone walls and a sunny courtyard garden, it’s the perfect blend of character and coastal comfort.

The epitome of coastal-cool, this historic cottage combines original features with tasteful updates, offering all the comforts of a high-end home close to all the St Ives hot spots. Located on a quiet side-street, it welcomes guests into an open-plan living/dining room packed with period details; stretch out on the sofa, chat around the table or catch up on your favourite TV programme – however you spend time here, it’s sure to be comfortable. A hand-built galley-style kitchen is bang up to date, with a stylish Belfast sink, coffee machine and all the essentials for an effortless stay; a cloakroom completes the convenience of the ground floor. Upstairs there are two peaceful bedrooms – one with a double bed and vanity unit, the other with twin beds – and a pretty family bathroom down one step. The waterfront is less than 400m from your doorstep, but for fresh air away from the crowds you can sit in your own sunny, walled garden. If you’ve brought wetsuits and surfboards, there’s space to store them here too, and for added convenience, private parking may be available at an additional cost.

All the St Ives harbour and town centre attractions are close by – Porthminster Beach has golden sands and a putting green, while, on the other side of the peninsula, pristine Porthmeor beach – a favourite for surfing – sits below the world-famous Tate St Ives art gallery. The South West Coast Path joins the two, encircling the headland known as The Island that juts out into St Ives Bay. If you’d like to explore further afield, Land’s End is a 20-mile drive south-west, and romantic St Michael’s Mount at Marazion is less than 10 miles away.

We loved the cottage with the carefully chosen decorations and the cute little garden. It was also perfectly located, close to the beach and yet beyond the hustle and bustle. Parking was quite a challenge. We found a parking space on a Tuesday in the island car park and got a really affordable weekly ticket. However, we weren't aware at that time tRead morehat we wouldn't be able the move the car for the next three days as it was so busy that there we already several cars waiting for a free space. We were very lucky with the weather and had a great time at the beach. In the bedrooms it got really hot, though. Even with all windows open at night it didn't really cool down. Hide

Absolutely gorgeous place, perfect location in the middle of everything but still really quiet & peaceful. Everything pretty, comfortable and well worked out Theres absolutely everything you might need, even a picnic set and windbreak in the cupboard under the stairs. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the garden is delightful. If you have pRead moreroblems walking theres no hills between you and the beach. Porthmoor is ten mins walking max. Coop supermarket one min walking away open till late! Couldnt ask for more. Cheapest parking we found was Park Avenue carpark about five mins walk for 26 for a week in September - not bad! Hide
