Enjoy a romantic getaway in this beautiful stone cottage. Located in the bustling seaside town of St Ives, you can enjoy the tranquillity of the property or the energy of the surrounding area with your partner.

Most of the ground floor is dedicated to an open-plan living space, where you’ll find a dining area, kitchen and lounge. There’s a gas log-burner-effect fire to make evenings cosier and a window seat overlooking the sea, a lovely spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee. You’ll also see a shower room. Head upstairs to the bedroom, completed with a comfortable bed and full of wooden finishes for a simple, homely feel. To the front of this cottage is an enclosed garden with stunning views of the coast, and out the back is a patio with a table and chairs for romantic evenings as the sun draws in.

St Ives is a town with a lot to offer, plus you’ll find lots to do further out, too. You’ll be about 200 metres from the centre of town, with plenty of places to shop, get drinks and explore. Try Porthmeor Beach (1 mile) for surfing or try Porthminster Beach (0.5 miles) for equally beautiful views. Soak in culture with visits to Tate St Ives (1 mile) and Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden (1 mile). For bracing coastal walks, take a trip to National Trust Godrevy (10 miles) or Land’s End (18 miles), which was once known as Belerion. This translates as “place of the sun” in ancient Greek, so we know that people have been enjoying this picturesque place for thousands of years. Finish your holiday with a day at St Michael’s Mount, a unique island accessible by footpath or ferry, where you’ll find a medieval castle.

There is a private parking space suitable for a small car (4.7m x 2.1m).

A very cute, but tiny property. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

A small but adequate traditional cottage with a short walk into town and everything a couple needs as a perfect base to explore the region

Another fab stay at Farr Cottage. This is the third year we have stayed here - it has everything we want. Parking - we have a small car which fits in the space beautifully, enclosed garden for the dog, and us to sit - it's a sun trap. Small and bijou, just the job. The hill back up from the town may be a bit much for some, but there is a shuttle bRead moreus to and from the Leisure Centre every 10 mins - a must for weary legs. Will we be back again? But of course! :-) Hide

Stayed at the cottage for a week, very good location (as mentioned by others, is up a very steep hill). Parking space is small as also mentioned (my VW Golf just about fitted in the space). Garden area needs some TLC. The cottage adequate for what we needed.

We had a good weeks holiday in Farr Cottage as the weather was wonderful. However we were disappointed that the cottage downstairs is very small, the photos are misleading we feel. Stairs are very steep and not easy to negotiate, head height is poor. Car parking is for a very small car, ours, a Peugeot 208, only just fitted although there is parkinRead moreg literally just round the corner for 26.40 for the week. Outside furniture is lovely but both outdoor areas could do with some tlc! If you have a dog there are some lovely walks from the door around the top of St Ives along footpaths which we enjoyed. Nice location close to St Ives but if you have any walking problems this won't be for you. The cottage is smaller than it appears online and the stairs are very steep. If you have a car, the parking is tiny and an average size car won't fit.

This was our second stay at Farr Cottage which didn't disappoint. We love the cottage - it is cosy, and most importantly very close to the town!

This is a lovely little cottage, ideal for 2 people and overlooks the harbour. The cottage provided us with everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine if needed. The back courtyard is private and a nice place to sit on an evening. The town and harbour is about 10 minute walk down a steep hill, but there is a bRead moreus that runs from the leisure centre which is about 100m from the front door. The buses leave and return every 10 minutes or so, so its easy for the less mobile to get to the harbour and beach. We had a few issues with parking as the space does not allow room for a larger car and I believe the cottage description has been amended to reflect this. We bought a weekly ticket for the leisure centre car park instead. Parking in st Ives is difficult unless your're there very early, so I would recommend using the bus as opposed to trying to drive through the extremely busy town. Overall we had a fab holiday, using Farr cottage as a base. Hide

Very small property on top of a very steep hill. Not for the faint hearted. Property has everything you need. However the interior was really small and dated. It was clean. The outside spaces were unkempt. In need of weeding and flower pots were more weeds than flowers. Outside furniture had a broken chair. There was a welcome pack of tea coffee bRead moreiscuits and milk which was a nice touch. Hide

The outside area was the reason we choose this property. It was not good enough and therefore let down the overall standard of the acommodation.
