This colourful, romantic bolthole is right on the seafront of the popular tourist destination, St Ives. With panoramic views over the beach and harbour, it makes a fantastic holiday getaway for a couple seeking relaxation along the stunning Cornish coastline.

From the cobbled harbourside, make your way indoors and into the open-plan kitchen/diner. Feel instantly calm in this delightful home, thanks to the subtle nautical theme running throughout. Whip up a romantic meal for two in the well-equipped kitchen while you clink glasses to your holiday. Head upstairs to the lounge to continue the laughter and watch the boats bob by from the handy window seat. Feeling warm and homely, sink into the cushiony sofa and snuggle in front of the fire. Sleep soundly in the cosy double bedroom on the second floor, which is also presented with a fabulous window seat. In the morning, sip your morning coffee in bed together and work out your plan of action.

Open the door to this cottage and you’re right on the waterfront. Take advantage by spending hours meandering the coast and enjoying a full English whilst watching the fishermen going about their daily business. Visit one of only four Tate Galleries in the world, home to the iconic Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden or venture to the Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden, which celebrates one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century. Ride the waves at some of the UK’s famous surf beaches, Porthmeor (7 miles) or Gwithian Towans (9 miles). For those wanting to see the sights by foot, hop onto the South West Coast Path which passes through the town to soak up panoramic views of the shore, hidden coves and craggy clifftops.

Beautiful little house be mindful the stairs are steep not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, car park opposite side of the harbour so quite away from the house, make sure you take tea coffee milk, and large towels if you like a bath sheet, the view is fantastic and location perfect for bars and restaurants

Location was amazing. Kitchen needed revamp and stairs far too narrow and steep not good for older visitors. Lounge and bedroom were lovely with amazing views over the harbour.

The little house is very small, it is very quirky. The location is perfect and to have use of the car park place was a welcome bonus. We both agreed that we'd love to stay again.

Great location right on the wharf. Lovely, quirky cottage. If you want to be immersed in harbour life and all that St Ives has to offer, you would love The Little House. Those with mobility issues might find the two flights of steep stairs challenging.

This cottage is a delight! While absolutely tiny (and yes, the stairs are tricky) it had everything we needed, the location was stunning, it was cosy and clean and clearly much loved.

A compact cottage situated in a perfect location. The property is tiny & space is at a premium, especially in the bedroom. The stairs are very narrow and I wouldn't recommend it if you have mobility issues. The cottage is tastefully decorated and is fully equipped. The views from the living room are stunning

We found a real contrast in the comments and reviews left by earlier holiday makers.except the family in the house in the period immediately before us. Such a shame when the house and the location are delightful.

We loved our stay at this cottage - ideal location for us and very pretty and clean decor - we needed to treat the stairs with respect as we are elderly but would definitely stay again - of course the lovely weather helped.

The stairs are narrow and steep, and navigating the property could be a problem for less mobile or larger people - perhaps make that very clear in the description of the property. But no problems for us.
