This spacious ground-floor apartment is situated on The Porthminster side of St Ives and is ideal for couples looking for a peaceful holiday haven, and a base to explore the spectacular Cornish coast and countryside. The property is less than 300 metres from sandy Porthmeor Beach, where you can join the South West Coast Path and enjoy the mile-long walk past Man’s Head to Clodgy Point. The colours and natural light in the area has been attracting painters, sculptors, and ceramists for decades, and a visit to Tate St Ives (300 metres) is a must.

This delightful property, all on one level, retains many of the original features of a traditional Fisherman’s Loft - exposed ceiling beams and stone walls - and blends them effortlessly with contemporary furnishings. When you enter, there is a sense of peacefulness, and you can instantly unwind on the sofa in the lounge/diner with a TV for entertainment. The kitchen has all the appliances to whip up a romantic meal to share together at the dining table. When it is time to rest, a king-size bedroom which includes a 5ft bed and a 3ft single with a pull out 3ft single stored beneath, and a bathroom are all yours at this lovely seaside retreat. Outside you’ll find a private courtyard with seating where you can enjoy a morning brew or evening sundowner.

To see St Ives from a different angle, hop aboard a boat trip from the pier and head out to discover Seal Island, a perfect way to watch the sunset. South of St Ives is the stunning Marazion Beach (10 miles), from where you can look across the cobbled causeway to admire the iconic sight of St Michael’s Mount. If you fancy walking in the countryside, take a picnic to Trencrom Hill and walk up to the viewpoint where you can see both the north and south coast. If delving into the local history is of interest, then head to Chysauster Ancient Village (7.5 miles) and explore the fascinating ruins.

Location of the property was great! Closest we have been to the centre of town before. Although no parking is with the property it is accessible to park off road in the square to unload and load without being in the way of moving traffic. Lovely property in a great location. The only downsides were the damp problems. I would not recommend this property to anyone with any breathing related problems. The dehumidifiers needed emptying daily.

Unit was every clean..loads of room and spacious..plenty of storge space..lots of utilities provided .location is excellent with doggy beach 5 minutes away and main harbour the same..local shop around the corner has most everything you may need ..most bars restaraunts are dog friendly and within walking distance..recommend beach restaraunt on dog Read morefriendly beach near by ..lots of walks ..parking can be a problem so make sure you book a space well in advance of your stay..and small yard not really big enough for dog to run around in..just to do their business.. but an excellent place to make your base for holiday Hide

The apartment was light and spacious and warm and cosy in the evenings. There is no parking, only in the public car park behind the Tate Gallery. This was very busy and once a space was found we left the car there for the week and used the train if we wanted to leave St Ives. A wheelie suitcase is a must! This is a lovely cottage in a perfect locations for all the beaches especially Porthmeor. The cottage is very well equipped with all you need for self catering.

Nice comfortable apartment in a fabulous location. Added bonus of a small courtyard for alfresco dining and drinks. Bedroom was spacious and quiet along with a great bathroom.
