Great family cottage. Walk to the beach is on a steep hill which can be a bit much for small kids and the parking is very tight but manageable as long as neighbours park appropriately. All in all enjoyed the holiday and comfort and would book again.

Car parking is terrible the step at the back is dangerous as u could quite easily back off it . I burst into tears as the car had about an inch to spare , more warning or sorting out the problem could be easily done . The only thing 5 star is the view everything else is 3 star at best . Nice enough cottage but for the price you could get better plRead moreaces to stay . Hide

An amazing warm and comfortable accommodation, which is fully equipped and has THE most AMAZING views! A lovely welcome gift too. We had the best week with our two springers. Loved the window seat and when we werent out, thats where I sat. We walked daily to the beach and into the harbour. Garden was great but we had to use the garden furniture to Read moreblock the wall as our one dogs would have been over (big drop), but that worked. We managed to park our Volvo V60 estate by reversing, but kept it parked up until we left. A gem of a place and will definitely return. We also managed with the 3/4 bed - I barely slept the first night but just as didnt want to miss any part of that view!! The hill gets easier and previous reviews talks about short cuts. Our first visit to St Ives and I can see why people keep in returning. Hide

House needs a bit of attention, garden, path way, definitely the bathrooms. Beds very comfortable but wardrobes need updating. Parking is really tight so do be aware.

This cottage was beautiful. The view of the beach every day was just amazing. We had good weather which helped but the location was perfect. We had a dog and unfortunately there are restrictions on some beaches in August, including the beach the cottage looked over but we enjoyed early pre 10am walks and early swims and also back down there from Read more6pm to enjoy the late sun and cocktails from the beach bars. The fish shed (on top of the beach bar directly below the cottage on the beach) was possibly the best restaurant weve eaten in. We enjoyed other beaches (Towans and Hollywell bay) all dog friendly all day and just stunning. We ate at the porthmister beach cafe which again was very special. Great coastal walk. We got train to Lelant and walked back. About 2hrs but again a great way to see the beautiful coast. The house was comfy and perfect for our family evenings especially all the games that are there. Bedrooms were a great size. Be aware as the ad says, the parking isnt easy and if you have a car bigger than a golf you will find it hard although my husband got used to it and reversing in was definitely easier. Lots of beach bits available and the ping pong table was great for my teenage boys. Had the best week and would highly recommend and come again. Hide

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Trecarrack. The size of property, accommodation arrangement and location worked well for our family (which included teenage children and dogs). Parts of the property are lovely - with us often electing to play a game and enjoy an aperitif at the kitchen table or on the terrace as opposed to heading into town for dRead morerinks, pre dinner. But there are parts of the property which feel a little tired - especially the bathrooms and wardrobes, all of which need to be refurbished. Worth mentioning is the garage (where you can store all the beach things), enclosed garden (which with use of the bin can be made secure for any dogs) and separate utility room - which are excellent additions that we werent really expecting, but made life much easier. Regarding the parking - we have a large Volvo estate, reversed in easily with use of the mirrors and sensors. Regarding the steep walk back - travel along Beach Road and take the shortcut adjacent to the end property, much easier! Hide

This is a cottage that had the most amazing views so the trek up to it can be forgiven. It is not suitable for the aged or frail. The driveway is a nightmare and we discovered the only way in was to reverse but even then there is just an inch either side. We usually expect there to be salt and pepper but we had to buy these but milk coffee and teRead morea were provided. If you want to avoid an almost impossible road up from beach there is a slightly longer narrow cross country route. It was difficult to book local restaurants and pubs in the evening and hardly any takeaways except pizza. There is a building site next door so sitting outside was slightly spoilt. The beach was beautiful but best for surfing not swimming. The cottage is charming if a little tired. We were so blessed with hot sunny days most of the week and really enjoyed ourselves. Due to the driveway and challenging walk back up we wont be returning unfortunately. Hide

Lovely house with amazing views of St Ives. We had a fantastic weeks stay. The only downside was that we couldnt fit the car on the driveway (Toyota Corolla hybrid hatchback) so had to park in the Barnoon car park.

We have stayed at St Ives many times and the views were the most stunning we have experienced. Very comfortable property - plenty of space for a family of 6 plus dog. Great to have outdoor space. Need to be confident driver with a medium sized car to negotiate the parking space but great to have parking.

Lovely view from the cottage, though access is very tight. Note second double bed is only 4ft wide and not really adequate for 2 adults. OK for two adults plus 3-4 kids or 3 adults and 2 kids.
