  • Ideal for couples and families seeking a cosy retreat just metres from a gorgeous Cornwall beach

Property code: OC-CHYR03

So close to the beach you could almost dip your toe in, this fabulous top-floor apartment for couples and families has mesmerising views of the glinting sea and golden sands. It’s located in the popular seaside destination of St Ives, where there’s a wonderful selection of shops, pubs, cafes, takeaways and restaurants to suit all tastes.

This second-floor apartment, which has been carefully decorated throughout with a breezy coastal theme, is located directly on the harbour front and its views are to die for. From the dual-aspect windows in the open-plan living space you can gaze over to Porthminster Beach and observe the boats bobbing on the glistening waters as the tide goes in and out. There’s even a window seat where you’re bound to want to linger, as well as comfortable seating and a Smart TV for sociable evenings in. The U-shaped fitted kitchen includes a microwave and a dishwasher for stress-free cooking and cleaning up, leaving you to enjoy dining together at the adjacent table for four. The double bedroom has similarly wonderful harbour views, and there’s also a sweet bunk-bed room (with limited head height above the top bunk). This is linked to the main bedroom as a 'family suite' layout. The bathroom, which is reached by going through this room, has both a bath and separate shower for convenience. The sofa in the living room can convert to a double sofa bed to provide alternative sleeping arrangements, if needed.

Nothing beats the choice of five beaches in St Ives, where you can sunbathe, swim and build sandcastles, hire a chalet, eat at a beach café and learn to surf, paddleboard or kayak. A boat trip can take you to Seal Island, deep-sea fishing or on a historical sea tour, or you can stay on land and wander the cobbled streets of this historic fishing town and discover its variety of shops, galleries and excellent places to eat and drink.

For bigger groups that want their own space, this property can be booked alongside two neighbouring properties; Lower Chy Rosewarne & Chy Rosewarne. Please contact us for more information.

This is a nice flat in a fantastic location with everything needed for a holiday. Unfortunately we experienced an number of issues which we had to make the holiday company aware of during our stay. That became a farce which only made the stay more frustrating, emailing didn't work, passed around on online chats, given a phone number to someone in CRead moreumbria who gave me an email to complaints. In fairness they emailed the next day and offered to send a handyman around I declined as I knew they would be able to fix the problems during our stay. The wifi was terrible it kept dropping out and we couldn't watch the smart tv, I was told the owner has the router and an extender is in the bedroom. So don't expect to get wifi if its being used by the other two flats. The hot water wasn't hot especially in the shower, the welcome pack which needs updating talks about timers and change buttons which I couldn't find. The main bedroom widows didn't have a key for the window locks and one wouldn't close and the other wouldn't open. The welcome pack is confusing about what to do with refuse as it talks about recycling but there's no bins. I appreciate the owners have made the best use of the space but this property is only for couples or a family with two small children not for four adults endless they use the sofa bed in the sitting area and don't mind walking through the bedroom to use the toilet. The flat is in the roof and gets hot so advise taking an electric fan. As a couple we would use this property again but only if the wifi hot water and windows are improved. Hide

Great stay with a great view to die for made us relaxed in more ways than one , the steps weren't to much bother to climp either , bed was comfortable but small in size & the bunk beds !! make sure the kids are small ?? all in all a good stay BUT could do with a good deep clean ( carpets & furniture very stained & cruby ) , everything tired & basicRead moreally all windows need some attention !! If the apartment was on '4 in a bed' TV show it would be last or even taken off air ? ... wheelie bin for the rubbish must have been on holiday too as we couldn't find it anywhere although it was quoted in info packs ? Its an oddity . Hide

Fabulous location, however the carpets and furniture are tired. It was very cold requiring extra portable heaters from Original Cottages. The bathroom is especially cold and the shower leaks. The radiators are full of dust.
