Enjoy gorgeous sea views over the golden, sandy beach at Carbis Bay and the ocean beyond from this delightful first-floor apartment. This beautifully furnished holiday home sleeps four guests and is set in a characterful Victorian house above the South West Coast Path. Ideal for a small family or group of friends, it has a private balcony and shared use of a large, shared garden overlooking the sea and beach. Carbis Bay has shops and eateries, and the apartment is within 500 metres of a small railway station. From here, you can take the seven-minute train ride to picturesque St Ives.
Stairs from a shared hallway rise to the apartment and a large, airy living/dining kitchen area, with breathtaking sea views from a window and door to the balcony. Comfortable seating in a colour palette of coastal blue complements the marine setting, together with a simple white kitchen. There are two inviting bedrooms: a zip-and-link king-size, with the same, splendid sea view, and a twin with-white bunk beds. A shower room completes the layout. Outside, the garden leads to the coast path and a scenic 1.5-mile walk to St Ives.
Sheltered Carbis Bay beach, just 500 metres distant and backed by a steep, wooded cliff, is a family favourite, with ample room for swimmers, surfers and rock pool explorers. St Ives is a charming and historic seaside town, which boasts four glorious golden beaches. Renowned for its artistic heritage, its cobbled streets are packed with galleries and craft shops, and it is home to one of only four Tate galleries worldwide. Stroll along the harbour, the heart of St Ives’ historic fishing community, and see the Sloop Inn. One of Cornwall’s oldest pubs, and said to date from the 14th century, it remains a popular watering hole for local fishermen.
