This 16th century fisherman’s
sail loft
is situated in Downalong in a traffic free area between The Meadow and The
Digey, just 70 yards from Porthmeor Beach. The cottage has been
sympathetically refurbished to a high standard in an open plan style and
retains much of its original character. It has the advantage of a decked
patio with gate to a large garden, an internal courtyard with a beach shower and ample
storage for surfboards and beach gear.
Main entrance from the Meadow (150 yards
from Barnoon car park) through terraced garden, down
two flights of steps to decked patio and front door. Large open plan
room with high beamed ceiling containing living area with double sofa bed,
living flame gas fire, flatscreen TV and DVD, CD Hi-Fi, Dining area and kitchen
with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
Bedroom with 5ft bed, TV, washbasin and en-suite shower room with wc. Bedroom
with 1 x 3ft and 1 x 2ft 6in bed. Bedroom with 2 x 3ft stora beds (note
limited room when both beds are in use). Bathroom with shower over bath,
washbasin and wc. Stairs down to hallway leading to courtyard with
beach shower room containing washer/drier, Belfast sink, shower and
hanging facilities for wet suits etc. Rear door to Hicks Court and
the Digey with easy access to Porthmeor Beach.
