Seal Island, just off the coast 3 miles
west of St Ives.
Boats take visitors for trips from St Ives harbour to see the Seals.
The boats often tempt the seals over with the odd mackerel or two,
shortly after the top picture was taken this seal got his wish:

There are a number of boats which offer
Seal Island trips, including the old
St Ives lifeboat the James Stevens No. 10
below, which served the town from 1899 to 1933,
saving 220 people in the course of her 59 launches.
